We love the stability of having a place to come back to every day. The comfort of knowing we do not have to move because our landlord has raised the rent beyond what we can afford, or the landlord has sold the home and we can no longer reside there.
We love that we can decorate the home the way we like. No one can stop us from painting each room a different color, hanging pictures all over the walls, tearing down walls to open up the space, renovating the bathroom, or remodeling the kitchen.
We love that we can have pets. Some of us have dogs, cats, and fishes. The joy and comfort our pets bring us daily is one of the best feelings in the world.
We love that we are building equity in our home, we are investing in ourselves and not in the landlord. We have ownership in something that historically gains value over time. If we were just paying rent, we would have nothing to show for it when I move out. As an owner, I have the opportunity to make money when I sell.
We love that we have a nice yard where we can plant a vegetable garden, plant flowers to attract butterflies, or have a fire pit to sit around with friends and family.
We love that our home is where lifelong memories are made with our loved ones. We can carry on our family traditions and celebrate the holidays together.
